| Summary: | This work presents the issue of violence against Venezuelan migrant children and adolescents who are currently in Colombian territory, this being of current relevance and providing data and analysis that cover a current gap in the scientific literature. The objective is to characterize the profile of the victims and aggressors of the acts of physical and sexual violence against children and adolescents of Venezuelan origin in the departments of the northern region of Colombia attended in 2017 and 2018 at the headquarters of the National Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences of Colombia, describing the circumstantial characteristics in which the violent act occurs in this population group. The total number of cases analyzed is 213, 32% corresponding to the year 2017 and 68% to 2018. The approach is descriptive based on a secondary analysis of the data collected by the INMLCF. The main results allow us to approximate a profile prevailing the cases of presumed sexual crime, with overrepresentation of female victims, who coexist in many cases with the aggressor, being predominantly male and relatives of the victims. |
