Description
Summary:This book presents a methodology to promote the adoption of healthy lifestyles, embodied in five educommunicative strategies (“Wash your battery and make life impossible for the mosquito”, “A healthy childhood, what a cowardice”, “Separate what boats before throwing it into the pot”, “Love to live, a strategy full of love for you and yours”, “Pa ‘eat well, pa’ run with desire, Paco the best company ”), that originated in the development of a project extension research and community projection of effective interventions in the area of public health, carried out in a Commune of Bucaramanga (Santander, Colombia). To achieve this change, a process that is accompanied by motivation is required, which involves participatory methodologies and the implementation of educommunicative strategies that motivate people to adopt or maintain healthy behaviors. The exposed strategies are within the framework of education and communication for health and respond to the guiding principles, summarized in the management and strengthening of intersectorality, interdisciplinarity, promotion of community participation, knowledge development and individual and collective skills for decision making and the creation of favorable physical and social environments. This becomes a pedagogical tool that guides a public health methodology, for communities that present this health situation, in an area of consultation and coordination with the authorities responsible for establishing promotion and prevention actions; In addition, it conforms to methods, techniques, and instruments for the fulfillment of the expected results and the achievement of the effectiveness of the actions developed, which lead to measure their impact.
