description Las neoplasias en caninos en los últimos años han sido un motivo frecuente de consultas al veterinario e interconsultas con especialistas en oncología. Algunos años atrás, causaban un alto porcentaje de muertes, pero en la actualidad los métodos de diagnóstico han mejorado el pronóstico de los casos, así como también las mascotas se han convertido en parte importante de las familias en todo el mundo lo que ha llevado a mejorar su calidad de vida. Los costos de los tratamientos para las neoplasias en los últimos 30 años se han incrementado sin embargo también se han empleado protocolos de medicina humana adaptados a veterinaria que ha logrado extender la vida de los animales. Este articulo revisa algunas de las neoplasias más frecuentes en la consulta de la clínica diaria, estos son TVT, linfoma, hemangiosarcoma y mastocitoma.
