This article identifies and characterizes the different styles of directing management used at educational institutions (herein referred to as x and y). At each institution, the style of leadership and implications of its use within the processes of school life is examined, because its specific contexts facilitate a differentiated recognition. The article also analyzes diverse interactions that occur in the daily lives of institutions, showing a close connection between, on the one hand, directing styles, leadership, management and communication, and on the other hand, personality, ethical and professional training, style, formulas for treating those who are directed, and basic factors when directing the destinies of those under the institution’s charge. In this realm, the management of interests, conflicts, needs, expectations, attitudes, etc. among those who share and “coexist” within the institution produces a unique social and cultural construction that benefits and affects the training processes that take place. |

En cada una se percibe un estilo de dirección y las implicaciones de uso dentro de los procesos de la vida escolar, pues, dados sus contextos específicos, es posible un reconocimiento diferenciado. También analiza las diversas interacciones que aparecen en la cotidianidad institucional, de manera que permite entrever una estrecha conexión entre los estilos de dirección, el liderazgo, la gestión y la comunicación, así como con la personalidad, la formación ética y profesional, el estilo, las fórmulas de tratamiento de quienes dirigen y son dirigidos, factores básicos a la hora de direccionar los destinos de quienes están a su cargo. En este ámbito, la gestación de intereses, conflictos, necesidades, expectativas, actitudes, etc., entre quienes comparten y “conviven” dentro de estas instituciones lleva a una construcción social y cultural propia que beneficia y afecta los procesos de formación que emergen.Este artigo identifica e caracteriza os diferentes estilos de gestão diretiva que são utilizados nas instituições educativas (denominadas aqui x e y). Em cada uma se percebe: o estilo de direção e as implicações de uso dentro dos processos da vida escolar devido a que, por seus contextos específicos, permitem um reconhecimento diferenciado. Também analisa as diversas interações que aparecem na cotidianidade institucional, o que deixa entrever uma estreita conexão entre, por um lado, os estilos de direção, a liderança, a gestão e a comunicação, e, por outro, a personalidade, a formação ética e profissional, o estilo, as fórmulas de tratamento de quem dirige e é dirigido, fatores básicos na hora de dirigir os destinos de quem está sob sua responsabilidade.
