En piómetra es más común en perras adultas, sin embargo, también se puede presentar a partir del primer estro, esta afección compromete no solo el potencial reproductivo del animal, sino que también conducirla a la muerte. El objetivo de la presente revisión es describir los aspectos importantes e informar acerca de las bacterias que influyen en el desarrollo de la infección. |

Pyometra is more common in adult dogs, however, it can also occur after the first estrus. This condition compromises not only the reproductive potential of the animal, but also leads to death.
