Uno de los problemas más comunes en la explotación ganadera tipo carne, es el aumento en el intervalo de días abiertos, debido principalmente a fallas en la reactivación ovárica y a deficiencias en la calidad folicular y luteal una vez reactivado el ciclo, influenciando negativamente el numero de servicios por concepción y el intervalo entre partos; concluyendo en grandes perdidas económicas para el ganadero. En estudios preliminares se han sugerido ciertas deficiencias nutricionales como causa de estas anomalías, especialmente las que hacen referencia a minerales traza, las cuales estarían relacionadas con desmedro de la condición corporal de la madre y con bajos pesos de los terneros al destete. Con el ánimo de evaluar el efecto de la suplementación con Zinc y Cobre sobre la reactivación ovárica y la habilidad materna durante el posparto en vacas tipo carne bajo sistemas de pastoreo, se realizó este proyecto de investigación en el municipio de Montelibano, Córdoba, hacienda Juntas, cuyo principal tipo de explotación es la ganadería basada en la cría, levante de hembras y una pequeña parte ceba de machos. Previa evaluación reproductiva del hato, se seleccionaron 24 vientres entre 1 y 2 meses posparto y en anestro comprobado; 12 de ellos fueron suplementados con Zn y Cu (BIOPLEX ® ) y los 12 restantes recibieron una sal comercial al 8% de fósforo (SOMEX ® ) sin suplementación durante los 15 días previos al experimento. Posteriormente se evaluó la presentación de calores, calidad del celo y estructuras ováricas, al igual que la condición corporal de las vacas y el peso de los terneros. Dos vacas del grupo experimental entraron en celo durante los 90 días de estudio, mientras que cuatro vacas hicieron lo propio dentro del grupo control. El bajo porcentaje de vacas del grupo experimental que presentó celo quizás se debió a la evidente jerarquía de algunos animales impidiendo que otros tuvieran el mismo acceso al suplemento, no obstante, en el grupo experimental la intensidad de los signos de celo tales como presentación de limo vaginal y edematización vulvar fue mayor. Se encontró diferencia estadísticamente significativa en la condición corporal de las vacas del grupo experimental con respecto a las del grupo testigo; no hubo diferencia estadísticamente significativa en el peso de los terneros de las vacas al finalizar el experimento. |

Recuperado de: http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12494/13355Uno de los problemas más comunes en la explotación ganadera tipo carne, es el aumento en el intervalo de días abiertos, debido principalmente a fallas en la reactivación ovárica y a deficiencias en la calidad folicular y luteal una vez reactivado el ciclo, influenciando negativamente el numero de servicios por concepción y el intervalo entre partos; concluyendo en grandes perdidas económicas para el ganadero. En estudios preliminares se han sugerido ciertas deficiencias nutricionales como causa de estas anomalías, especialmente las que hacen referencia a minerales traza, las cuales estarían relacionadas con desmedro de la condición corporal de la madre y con bajos pesos de los terneros al destete. Con el ánimo de evaluar el efecto de la suplementación con Zinc y Cobre sobre la reactivación ovárica y la habilidad materna durante el posparto en vacas tipo carne bajo sistemas de pastoreo, se realizó este proyecto de investigación en el municipio de Montelibano, Córdoba, hacienda Juntas, cuyo principal tipo de explotación es la ganadería basada en la cría, levante de hembras y una pequeña parte ceba de machos. Previa evaluación reproductiva del hato, se seleccionaron 24 vientres entre 1 y 2 meses posparto y en anestro comprobado; 12 de ellos fueron suplementados con Zn y Cu (BIOPLEX ® ) y los 12 restantes recibieron una sal comercial al 8% de fósforo (SOMEX ® ) sin suplementación durante los 15 días previos al experimento. Posteriormente se evaluó la presentación de calores, calidad del celo y estructuras ováricas, al igual que la condición corporal de las vacas y el peso de los terneros. Dos vacas del grupo experimental entraron en celo durante los 90 días de estudio, mientras que cuatro vacas hicieron lo propio dentro del grupo control. El bajo porcentaje de vacas del grupo experimental que presentó celo quizás se debió a la evidente jerarquía de algunos animales impidiendo que otros tuvieran el mismo acceso al suplemento, no obstante, en el grupo experimental la intensidad de los signos de celo tales como presentación de limo vaginal y edematización vulvar fue mayor.
