La resiliencia es una habilidad adquirida para enfrentar de manera positiva las experiencias adversas o traumáticas que afectan a los individuos humanos. En la presente investigación, la resiliencia constituye la variable que se estudia en una muestra de estudiantes adolescentes de una escuela de Cali, Colombia. La investigación es de tipo cuantitativo-transversal, y como instrumento de medición se usa la Escala de Resiliencia de Wagnild & Young, considerando factores como la satisfacción personal, la ecuanimidad, el sentirse bien solo, la confianza en sí mismo y la perseverancia. Los resultados obtenidos, muestran que, si bien los participantes tienen herramientas de resiliencia con las cuales enfrentan situaciones del día a día, resulta importante fortalecer la autodisciplina, como punto de partida para la configuración de una vida más autónoma, menos dependiente y con respeto por sus semejantes. Se concluye que la escuela podría propiciar espacios en los que los estudiantes y sus familias dialoguen sobre resiliencia y adquieran insumos para mejorar en ese y otros aspectos de la vida en sociedad. |

Los resultados obtenidos, muestran que, si bien los participantes tienen herramientas de resiliencia con las cuales enfrentan situaciones del día a día, resulta importante fortalecer la autodisciplina, como punto de partida para la configuración de una vida más autónoma, menos dependiente y con respeto por sus semejantes. Se concluye que la escuela podría propiciar espacios en los que los estudiantes y sus familias dialoguen sobre resiliencia y adquieran insumos para mejorar en ese y otros aspectos de la vida en sociedad.Resilience is an acquired ability to positively cope with adverse or traumatic experiences that affect human individuals. In the present research, resilience constitutes the variable studied in a sample of adolescent students from a school in Cali, Colombia. The research is quantitative-cross-sectional, and the Wagnild & Young Resilience Scale is used as a measurement instrument, considering factors such as personal satisfaction, equanimity, feeling good alone, self-confidence and perseverance. The results obtained show that, although the participants have resilience tools with which they face daily situations, it is important to strengthen self-discipline, as a starting point for the configuration of a more autonomous, less dependent life with respect for others. their peers. It is concluded that the school could provide spaces in which students and their families discuss resilience and acquire inputs to improve in that and other aspects of life in society.Resumen -- 1.
