La aparición de las cardiopatías en caninos es dada por variados factores, pueden afectar tanto caninos de grandes, medios o pequeños tamaños; se a asignando enfermedades relacionadas con cada raza como la cardiomiopatía dilatada (CMD) o degeneración valvular mixomatosa (DVM), su aparición por motivos genéticos, alimenticios, metabólicos, edad etc. Que finalmente de no ser diagnosticado a tiempo el pronóstico es muy similar (reservado a malo), las ayudas diagnosticas se basa en ecocardiografías, radiografías, electrocardiogramas etc. Los canes después de los 5 a 7 años de edad son más propensos a desarrollar o evidenciar patologías cardiacas, se recomienda los chequeos en pacientes propensos a la enfermedad y a todos los canes mayores de 7 años de edad. |
