If the Orinoquia and the Amazon are special territories due to their historical abandonment and they constitute a unique region, they must have a special treatment that facilitates their development and promotes access to scientific knowledge and goods produced in the developed world with respect for populations ancestral and regional cultures. In this second volume are works related to social and human sciences in these regions. Topics ranging from education in the Orinoquia are addressed; geopolitics, physical integration and development in the Amazon; passing through the quilombolas collectives in the Brazilian Amazon; contemporary Amazonian painting; indigenous life plans of the Amazon and Orinoquia; until the study of myth, the market and multiple ontologies in a forest garden project among the Sateré-Mawé of the Brazilian Amazon. The themes are varied and must be assumed from a theoretical, methodological and procedural opening to reach an understanding of the phenomenon in its dimensions and its contexts.La colección interdisciplinaria Estudios de la Orinoquia y la Amazonia busca generar conocimiento, fomentar la discusión académica y asumir alternativas de solución a problemas regionales en la Orinoquia y la Amazonia. Si la Orinoquia y la Amazonia son territorios especiales por su abandono histórico y ellos constituyen una región única, deben tener un tratamiento especial que facilite su desarrollo y promueva el acceso al conocimiento científico y a los bienes producidos en el mundo desarrollado con el respeto a las poblaciones ancestrales y a las culturas regionales. En este segundo volumen se encuentran trabajos relacionados con las ciencias sociales y humanas en estas regiones. Se abordan tópicos que van desde la educación en la Orinoquia; la geopolítica, integración física y desarrollo en la Amazonía; pasando por los colectivos quilombolas en la Amazonia brasileña; pintura amazónica contemporánea; planes de vida de indígenas de la Amazonía y la Orinoquia; hasta el estudio del mito, el mercado y múltiples ontologías en un proyecto de jardín forestal entre los Sateré-Mawé de la Amazonia brasileña.
