Description
Summary:Periodontal disease is an inflammatory pathology caused by oral biofilm, which affects the supporting tissues of the tooth and results in loss of attachment and destruction of the alveolar bone. Surgical and non-surgical periodontal therapies focus their objectives on eliminating and controlling dental plaque, and their success depends on the collaboration of the patient and regular follow-up in established maintenance programs. A 2% zinc citrate toothpaste has been developed and launched with the promise of helping to improve periodontal health.
