Summary: | The paper had as objective the economic analysis of three simulated systems of milk production in the dairy Program at Palmira's National Research Center in 1987. The production sytems were: I) Confinement with corn silage with 30% of dry matter (DM) and 8% of crude protein (CP), three treatments: a) 40 kg of forage/animal1 day and a load capacity (LC) equivalent to 5.4 A.C.U.*iha on grazing; b) 40 kg of forage/animal/day and a LC of 8.2 A.C.U./ha on grazing: C) 40 kg of forage/animal/day and a LC 5.4 A.C.U./ha on grazing. II) Confinement with diets based on elephant grass with 18% of DM, and 8% of CP, two treatments: a) 102 kg of forage/animal/day, and a Lc 9 A.C.U./ha on grazing; b) 102 kg of forageanimalday plus 1 kg of CSM/animal'day, and a LC of 9 A.C.U.!ha on grazing. Ill) Grazing on pangola grass, two treatments: a) 84 kg of forage/animal/day, and a LC of 3.9 A.C.U./ha; b) 84 kg of forage/animal/day plus 1.1 kg of CSM/arlimal/day, and a LC of 3.9 A.C.U./ha. The methodology recommended by CIMMYT was used in this work. It was considered a simulated lactation of 305 days with data colected from works made by researchers of CNI Palmira's Dairy Cattle Section. For each system considered the LC (A.C.U.. ha) and the milk production in kg/ha, were estimated; the variable costs correspond to forage cost a and suplement cost (CSM). The considered prices for the differen: forages, suplements and product were the current ones at may of 1987. Througl -' this economic analysis in production system I, the better treatment was No. 2. "confinement with corn silage 40 kg/animal day and a LC of 8.2 A.C.U.!ha on grazing In the system II, the best treatment was 2: "confinement with elephant grass 10 kganimalday, and LC of 9 A.C.U. ha on grazing; in the system Ill, the treatment with highest benefits was No. 2: "grazing pangola grass. 84 kg/animal/day, plus 1.1 kg of CSManimal/day, and a LC of 3.9 A.C.U/ha. |
