Maritza Montero

Maritza Montero was a Venezuelan social psychologist and political scientist. She was a Professor and Program Director at the Central University of Venezuela. Her research focused on community psychology, political psychology, and liberation psychology, with a particular focus on Latin America. She had been the President of the International Society of Political Psychology. Dr. Montero passed away on July 23, 2025.
