John Guillory
John David Guillory (born 1952) is an American literary critic best known for his book ''Cultural Capital'' (1993). He is the [https://as.nyu.edu/people/silverprofessors/the-julius-silver-legacy.html Julius Silver] Professor of English Emeritus at
New York University. Guillory has focused his scholarship on rhetoric, the sociology of criticism, the history of the humanities, and early media studies, especially the work of
