Carlos Castillo-Chavez

Carlos Castillo-Chavez (born March 29, 1952) is a Mexican-American mathematician. He was a Regents Professor and Joaquín Bustoz Jr. Professor of Mathematical Biology at Arizona State University. Castillo-Chavez founded the Mathematical and Theoretical Biology Institute (MTBI) at Cornell University in 1996. Since then, he has held various academic appointments and has published books and research articles on mathematics, social structures, and epidemiology. Provided by Wikipedia
